The Short Version
We collect as little as we can. We don’t use advertising pixels or third-party analytics, we never sell your information, and we never ask for your phone number. We do keep our own record of visits and where they came from, so we know which channels bring people here — explained below.
What We Collect
When you join the spread: your email address, so we can send you what you asked for — new flavors, recipes, and news about the shop opening.
When you send a wholesale inquiry: your name, your business, your email, and what you tell us you’re looking for, so we can reply with a quote.
When you vote for a flavor: nothing reaches us. Your vote is saved only in your own browser, on your own device, and you can change or clear it at any time.
When you visit: our site records each page you open, where the visit came from (the website that linked you here, or the campaign tags in the link), your country, and whether you’re on a phone, tablet or computer. This record does not include your IP address and isn’t tied to your name or email. If you arrive from another site or a campaign link, one first-party cookie (bttr_src) remembers how you arrived for 30 days, so a later vote or sign-up can be credited to the channel that brought you. Separately, our hosting provider keeps standard security logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested, to protect the site from abuse.
How We Use It
Only to do what you asked: reply to your inquiry, or send the updates you signed up for. We don’t build profiles, we don’t combine your information with data from elsewhere, and we don’t use it to target advertising.
Allergies & Health Information
We never ask for health information on this site. If you choose to tell us about an allergy, we use it only to answer you — we never infer it from anything else, never pass it to anyone, and never use it to group or market to you.
Who We Share It With
We never sell your information. A small number of service providers handle it on our behalf, only as needed to run the site:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and protects it from attacks.
- Resend delivers your signup or inquiry to our inbox.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site; your browser requests them directly from Google, which can see your IP address.
Your Choices
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — at any time, without giving a reason. Every email we send includes a way to stop receiving them. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser; the site works the same without them.
How Long We Keep It
Signup emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Wholesale inquiries are kept for as long as we’re working together, and deleted on request. Visit records are kept for 13 months, then deleted.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this notice changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Our Terms of Use also apply to your use of the site.
